o We will definitely get 1 outside back.. we just have to sort out whether its Blaize first... I think Blaize would be better in a spine position, but hes 19 and for now wherever would be fine... hes going to have to have a lot to learn defensively.... i feel like its a 50/50 at best best if we get him though..
o Rava I understand is letting himself and everyone down off the field, both at training and away from football.. thats rly the core of the reason hes dropped.. not so much his skill... but he could probably be a much better player if he improves in other areas.. not that I have any of this as fact or anything, its based on various insiders info over recent months... but it sort of makes sense too.

Can't agree about RCG. He might still be ok and might be for another 2 years, though doubtful. Parra are coming last. But we need to start recruiting a few players whose best is in front of them, not behind them.
Sivo is a definite NO but Flanno adores big but slow wingers.

I think we have nothing but depth in the outside backs. Have Rava, Bird, CT, Feagai, maybe both Feagais, Ramsey, that Souffs NSW Cup fullback who did his knee in the off season. Need some quality outside backs.We should also be targeting a quality outside back for next year. It's a light on area imo.Just a Mug Fan thoughts?
Hope we get Blaize but regardless need NRL level depth in that position.
I've read people want Rava out but that seems ridiculous considering he was our top try scorer last year & fills a need in an area lacking depth. I also assume he'd be on a team friendly contract considering his output.

Anyone watch the Souffs game last night? Surely there are performance clauses in Cooks deal. He was rubbish last night.
I think the better question would be did you actually watch the game (for once)? Cookie played 80min, had to play out of position covering centre defensively for 15 of that then ended up sharing hooker for a long period in a reshuffled lineup in attack. He still made 45 tackles missing only 3, 2 takle busts and 50m while being very sound in defense accross multiple positions. If you think that's rubbish under thos conditions then you have once again proven why your just a biased clown constantly spewing negative rubbish masquerading as a fan.

Watched most of it. Looked away a few times. He went off or did an excellent disappearing act for the last 10min in which time Souffs stormed back into the contest. Running game non-existent. Might be a tackling machine but Liddle can does do that too.

Trent Barrett is definitely a no go for head coach but I wonder if he would be good to recruit. I was thinking maybe the position they wanted to hire O'Sullivan for. He might not see out the season at Parra. What a rabble!

Max Feagai is putting his hand up for an extension. Looking better each week, defence solid, couple of line breaks and has been strong with second runs on kick returns. He would of been near top on RM last night too.

Someone mentioned that if/when Talagi finally pulls out, Max will get the freed up spot.. I see the logic.. and good on Max... but I must say we have the money to sign a genuine marquee back with some speed and agility.. im surprised we cant find one, its not like sourcing a halfback or prop..
Max is doing great though, but against better defensive units we do struggle to score points if we cant just run over the top.

I think the club has no choice but to go with a youth policy. Out bid other clubs for the best 17~19 year-olds.

Flanno was just on MMM, he did say they were still looking for top class players.. if we sign Max im not sure how we sign anyone else in the backs, but if we have money to burn for 2025 like i think we have a lot.. i suppose we could pay out 1 or 2 like rava or bird.. and assumably we will pay out most of lawries also. Fifita the other one..
Its just that the NRL wont let us register any contracts once we hit 30, not until we free blokes up... so say we sign that DSaifiti+Max.. thats us done for now.

Tuitavake is just this year, Fifita (the big prospect at the time) has 2025 as well.
But I reckon hes a perfect guy to move on, someone will take a chance on a 23yr old prop with a big frame.. and we have the fringe prop space covered with MMolo, Couchman1, Couchman2, Tonga, Latu, Ackers, Stewart, and others..
