Round 18 vs Sydney Roosters

Because he has been with us for a while Flanagan would be my 1st choice followed by Green both are premiership winning coaches and it's that, that would attract players to the club
I go with Flanagan as well. I meant, if you were coach, would you drop Macca or Mbye to make way for Muhleisen?

Agree with Feagai his involvement is restricted to his sideline plus 20m infield only, needs to do more and get more involved. I knew Moga would get first dibs at Ravs spot he too needs to get involved. I was hoping Amone was gone and Sullivan linked with Hunt if he plays. Good to see JDB back to his specialist lock spot but worried about Molo/Lawrie starting props Molo has dissappointed me so far this season hasn't run for the 100m plus. The Rorters pack looks extremely strong and the bench is very strong watch when JWH comes on. Manu v Amone at 5/8 is a no contest, Manu will run all over him im afraid. McCullough v Verills has me very concerned especially when I believe that Watson will come on to replace Verills at some stage and im afraid McCullough will be tanked by then. The only place we will be able to hold our own will be in the centres. The Rorters will be after revenge for the Anzac Day loss and need the win to jump over us. Unfortunately if we play this week the same as last week we will cop an almighty hiding which I am suggesting is going to happen. The pundits agree with me installing the Rorters at $1.39 favourites to steamroll us.
God I hate being right

I can only say, the coach has to go. If JoDragon can predict it several days before it happens and the coach doesn't take steps to ensure it doesn't happen....... he has to go.
I must agree. I don't know what is going on at the club but if an old broken down coach can see what is going to happen surely someone else can

Our third, or is it the fourth flogging for the year. Griffin is now on very thin ice. Going on our lack of forward carries we must have been flogged in the possession stakes too. 50 missed tackles.. woeful.. all reflects on our nong of a defense coach. He has to be first coach to go. Well while I am drowning my sorrows my brother, an avid Roosters fanatic will be cock a hoop.

History shows that genuine premiership teams are built firstly around defence. When we won in 2010 we were able to avg over the season over the 26 games 8 points against us however generally speaking if a team can avg 16 points a game over the season then you make the top 4. But on top of that you have to have the fire-power to take advantage of your rock solid defence. Currently with the squad we have don't expect to see us playing semi finals football before 2025. Just my views

As I said earlier in my view Amone is not 1st grade standard.
I agree with much of what you say but reckon you are being a bit harsh on the kid. We all concur Amone is not a natural play maker but when his half and prime ball in hand man lacks the skill, he tries to fill the gap., sometimes without success. I have repeatedly said that Junior's best asset is to take on the line as he has magic feet. But he often finds himself without the space. He is also developing a clever short kicking game.

Yes neither give us good go forward as both are poor dummy half runners. Take out Mcs defense and he is a non event. Griffin currently has Mybe is his worst utility position.
Agree. Get them both the f**k out. Griffin has totally transformed this team from the one he inherited almost 2 years ago. But "his team" hasn't improved at all. The only first grade standard new signings he has brought to the club are Su'a and Suli which is a very, very poor recruitment strike rate.

Amone should take on the line more this half
He only ran 60 mts against a strong Rooster's defensive unit but give him space and a weaker unit he will run over 100 a game like he did against the Warriors, Titans and Dogs. 144 in one match. When he is taking on the line, then he looks very much a first grade back.. even better.

When you have a team crumbling to a seven try second half something is wrong with the mindset as I doubt the problem is fitness. It is self believe.. something which Griffin has failed to instill into our players.

There seems to be no doubt in my mind. The coach has lost the dressing room.

In that second 40 we turned over too much ball, missed tackles we should have made and allowed their kickers too much latitude with their bombs.
