Yes unfortunately you are correctEvery set they run for 60~70m and us for 30~40. Their defence has been ok but with what Hunt and Kyle have dished up, every team was likely to hold us for only 2~3 tries.

I'm worried we might not finish 12th now but lowerAnother sorry effort. We need more from our halves, both that is. We need more speed out wide and an enforcer bookend that runs 150/180m every game.
And do you still think Kyle Flanno isn't that bad? He's not NSW Cup quality.Another 40 tackles by Jack, only two blokes that ran 100 did so in first half, Couchman and Lawrie
Agree our alleged play makers are not in the top 8 teams. In fact not in the top 10.And do you still think Kyle Flanno isn't that bad? He's not NSW Cup quality.
Didnt see sufficient of the game to give an opinionAnd do you still think Kyle Flanno isn't that bad
Are you boasting? If not lucky you. I thought we were in it for about 55 minutes but then those good top 4 teams find another gear when required.Didnt see much of the game to give an ipinion
Hit BOTH nails on the head matewe lack creativity from our play makers which is not top 8 standard, and that's the difference between a competitive top 8 team and a team that has languished for years at the bottom end of the competition. Any talk of semi finals football for us this season should now be gone and perhaps it's now time to blood some of our rising stars.
He made 18 tackles but more importantly missed 9 tackles the Roosters targeted him. That is not 1st grade standard and you simply cannot afford to carry players, even play makers who are going to be targeted by the opposition to just continue to play on. Just my viewsKyle Flanno is way out of his depth.
And his attack is non existent. Kicks poorly when he tries. He made 18 tackles but more importantly missed 9 tackles the Roosters targeted him. I haven't watched the post match interview but what's the bet Flanno praised Rorters defence? Anything to take attention off the shockers our playmakers had.Back to old habits I'm afraid. Attacking stat's show the Roosters making 500m more than us and you just can't miss 55 tackles and be competitive. Not 1 forward managed 100m for us, 5 managed it for them. Possession was fairly even 52% - 48% Roosters favour, our completion rate was very good 89% . But we just lack a decent spine, we lack creativity from our play makers which is not top 8 standard, and that's the difference between a competitive top 8 team and a team that has languished for years at the bottom end of the competition. Any talk of semi finals football for us this season should now be gone and perhaps it's now time to blood some of our rising stars.
So sad. Since Widdop left us it has been all downhill.a team that has languished for years at the bottom end of the competition.
He is a more prolific and intense tackler than his halves partner. He made 18 tackles but more importantly missed 9 tackles
Exactly right even in my day, which are long gone by, you instilled into your play makers to get to and execute your attacking structures. But you also gave them licence to play ad lib eyes up footy to create opportunities, you would have ball runners around your play makers just in case an opportunity arose and you would practise that as well. In today's game the Roosters didn't have to adjust their defensive structures or worry that our 6 and 7 were going to create which makes defending much easier. But the bottom line to creativity is giving your play makers the extra time and space, that means your engine room is going forward and quick play the balls. Just my viewsAnd his attack is non existent. Kicks poorly when he tries.
Mine too. But that amounts to zilch if the play maker does not have a creative bone in his body and lacks vision, as our pair do.But the bottom line to creativity is giving your play makers the extra time and space, that means your engine room is going forward and quick play the balls. Just my views
