Cody Ramsey will be sideline for two weeks with an MCL strain, meaning Anthony Griffin has a big headache on his hands. Moses Mbye is the likely man to take the No.1 jersey. Meanwhile, Tyrell Sloan has played on the wing in reserve grade, with Griffin hoping the young gun can return to first grade to fill a void in the outside backs. Max Feagai, Tyrell Fuimaono and Jack Gosiewski are also candidates to take the vacant spot.
I predict Griffin will select Mbye at fullback and Fuimaono is the centres.

Jack Bird will move to the centres, Mbye fullback.

Jack Gosiewski can't even get a spot on the extended bench when there are lots of injuries these days. Did he impregnate the coaches daughter, run over his dog or something like that?

Before the season had started, if one were joking about the most conservative team selection possible, one would have picked Bird in the centres and Mbye at fullback.

With the exception of Lomax who isn't fast, but just average for an outside back, some of those NQ outside backs would literally be able to run faster backward than our outside backs.

It's a must win and we are a chance. V Holmes v Bird will be interesting in saying that the Cowboys will be hot favourite. It is great to see Sloan on the bench will be interesting to see how they use him. I'd suggest Mbye from fullback to hooker during the game as McCullough is no longer a 80 min player and therefore Sloan into fullback time will tell

V. Holmes vs Bird interesting? I'd call it frightening!

McCullough is no longer even a 10min first grade player!

No way. I can't accept this team. At least Sloan will definitely come into the starting team. Bird in the centres is still a problem but with Sloan at the back, it won't be utterly crazy.

You under sell McCullough he does his job in defence better than most other hookers. Can you imagine another hooker presently in our pack that misses tackles in the middle third of the field? Mbye had a go but it only takes a couple of missed tackles early in a game that would lead to a compressed defensive line leaving us vulnerable 3 players off the ruck where Ben Hunt defends.

Don't undersell Bird in the centres just yet. He shouldn't miss as many tackles on smaller players in the backs. In saying that his speed and stamina will be tested. Time will tell

If they just run around him, would it count as a missed tackle? With Mbye at fullback and Bird in the centres, noted non speedsters Feagai and Moga on the wings, unless Lomax can work some magic, brute force will probably be the only way to score tries but that'll be very difficult against the strong Cowboys defence.

Eric Eric no as our dill of a coach has kept Bird in the centres. Good news for Tyrell Sloan he is back in first grade but not at his favored fullback but #14. As you predicted Moses returns as our custodian.
JDB remains at prop. Arent there any young Ressie bookends, such as Josh Coric, putting their hand up for a crack at the top grade.

He will kill whatever structure we have as when he gets the ball he forgets what position he is playing and will go back infield and try to work some kinda move which is bound to fail as the man has as much skill as a mushroom.

No we dont. Yes he does his job in defense. Most hookers have to as they are the first line of defense. But that is it for Mac.. he as slow as a sloth, has no kicking game and certainly no ball skills. He does throw a good clean pass tho. Young Connor Muhleisen is also a good defender.. held the leading Ressie comp top tackling spot for a time, plus he has all those attributes Mac lacks.
