View attachment 588Absolutely horrific viewing from dragons’ perspective

They have this sort of data analysis available to them as well so the same issues being there is a concern
this is measuring our run metres per game, but its listed on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th tackle? Wonder why 1st tackle wasnt included?

This would be factoring in all run metres including line breaks by backs etc.. not just an indication of forward impact.

Look back in my day the halfback was the manager on the field, ran all the structured play. My 5/8 had more leeway to play unstructured footy eyes up.

Just remember they use to be lined up next to each other in attack so things have changed. But in my experience it's extremely difficult if your 5/8 sometime in his career hasn't played that management role to just pick it up on the run.

Time will tell.
Agree mate but at the moment the way our halves are playing we need someone to pick it up and run as you say , because we are not putting the opposition under any pressure , they are just sliding in defence as our attack goes sideways ........ We do need someone that is capable to play what's in front of them other than structured plays ....... When I was playing my coaches would tell me as I was capable to do so if I see something go for it ....... Young Ilias at the moment is very tentative to do much .........

Jeez Flanno we had 28% ball in first stanza, that wasnt Ilias' fault, the Chooks ran rampant thru our middle, that wasnt Ilias fault. Our forwards were going backwards and we turned over two much pill in second stanza to get back into the contest, again not Ilias' fault. Flanno you are using Ilias as your scapegoat for one reason. You dont have the balls to sack your son.

Yeh Blake Lawrie says same and wants Lachlan to back himself more. But the old dinosaur assured him he has his back. This is something you'd expect Blocka to say. Jacob Liddle says ditto. Just the words a sacked player wants to hear.

Ok Mr Magician coach who takes the reins at half. Who do you choose to suddenly be your genius game manager. Kyle Flanagan, please no. I have seen him play one good match as play maker since he arrived and that was in a trial. No doubt he is old man's favorite. Glover has one good game in four and is certainly no organizer/visionary now or never will be, unlike Ilias. LKT has some skill and yes can play eyes up footy but to me he is more a 5/8. Where he has mostly been since joining us. Also neither of this pair are slippery or are solid defenders, again unlike Ilias. Reed is still very much on his first training wheels. If he turns our the organizer we need it wont be for at least a couple of years. Gotta say I have my doubts he is.

Look I agree and I would say something very similar to my halves , structures are not meant to limit your natural talent, ability and sense on the field. Your on the field you are in the best position to have a feel of a game.

To my old eyes young Illias is struggling not only physically but mentally with his previous injury. His actions and movements on the field would suggest to me that he is playing tentatively. His particular leg injury is very rare in my 50 plus years involved in RL.

It's official. Flanno confirmed Ilias dropped. I don't agree at all. Kyle should have been dropped long ago but at least now he won't be able to hide. He has to take on some responsibility to do the kicking and playmaking.

Well he has played 90 plus games as a 7. There will be great discussions across various forums and social media arguing that he has been protected by his Dad and saved from the same axe that has befallen Illias.

On Saturday night he needs to stand up, return to his best playing days, which I believe was when he played for the Roosters, and as a 7. Actions speak louder than words he has a great opportunity to silence the armchair critics and coaches.

What a match up for the youngsters, the rising stars, LKT v Galvin, and now Flanagan v Luai. These battles will go a long way to deciding this game in an attacking sense.

But the biggest match ups will be the battle of the front row, May/Pole/ Koroisau v Couchman/Klemmer/Cook.

We have to stop the Tigers doing a Roosters and rolling through the middle of the park. Otherwise I fear a similar outcome to last week.

I expect a bounce back from last week's embarrassing effort.

He was dropped the Roosters and told to find a new club.
