Looks like hooker is a complete write-off for next year but hopefully the 5/8 will improve a lot and Sloan or Stewart, both very talented, make a successful transition to NRL. Ramsey is full of effort and energy but really doesn't offer much apart from effort and energy at fullback. If he gains another 5 or so kgs he should make it as a winger.

Mitch Rein is probably better than McCullough and Liddle.

Good question. Mbye is still part of this befuddling picture. Ideally, making Macca Ressies hooker/captain is the best way forward. But I dont see Griffin allowing that and the snail will also kick up a stink. FO has already said Muhleisen wont play firsts til '24. So sadly, I dont see much changing from our just past disastrous season.

These were the words of Craig Young shortly after becoming our club Chairman in Nov, '21. I expect Albert is rather disappointed how the last 10 months have panned out.

He obviously made a very serious mistake with Griffin but he hasn't been in the job for long, has he? I know he's been with the club forever but his present position was created last year as far as I know.

How the stuff did Anthony Griffin become a NRL coach if he cant identify that Tyrell Sloan offers more as our custodian than Cody Ramsay. If talk that Sloan is unhappy about not playing more top grade is more than rumor, then we may lose the precociously talented kid. Bennett knows a good player when he sees one and word is he needs a fullback.

The word is Tyrell Sloan is unhappy about not playing more top grade, so if the talk is more than rumor, then we may lose the precociously talented kid to the Dolphins if our R/R people dont pull out the proverbial finger and identify his ball skills an play him at fullback. The ball is in their court. Wayne Bennett wont hold back once Tyrell announces he wants out.

I said some time back that Sloan does not look comfortable when he cant get his hands on the ball to utilise his skills. Cant do it on the wing, the halves are taken, not been tried yet at hooker or #14 utility all position where he can best utilise his ball skills. If our R/R people cant identify the talents of Sloan then I fear we may lose him, as Wayne Bennett is sniffing around for a custodian. If he hears Tyrell wants out of the Dragons he will pounce..

It's ok because Griffin's superstar fullback recruit Mbye still has 4 or 5 good years in him.
