Let's see how we go with this. After the massive letdown of the Dragons not getting Lodge for the rest of the year.
  1. Manly vs Melbourne - Obviously Melbourne
  2. Gold Coast vs Newcastle - Gold Coast because Ponga is out.
  3. Penrith vs Sydney - Penrith at a canter.
  4. Canterbury vs Cronulla - Cronulla even though they are overrated.
  5. North Queensland vs Brisbane - North Queensland have too much class.
  6. South Sydney vs Parramatta - Parramatta a little too good.
  7. New Zealand vs Wests Tigers - New Zealand due to a big homecoming.
  8. St George Illawarra vs Canberra - Canberra because Saints are short at least 1 good prop, maybe 2.

  1. Melbourne - I think Melbourne are at full strength. A few of QLDers will be out with a point to prove.
  2. Gold Coast - Tough one with Ponga out. Fifta in and trying to get selected for Origin will see GC get home
  3. Penrith - Should do it easily.
  4. Cronulla - Canterbury have done well since Baz left but going to come to an end here.
  5. North Queensland - I think Broncos are still missing Reynolds.
  6. Parramatta - Souths are overrated. Cook and Walker are nearing the end of their days as top class players.
  7. Wests Tigers - Party poopers
  8. St George Illawarra - Canberra have a better pack but I'm picking Saints anyway.

Great time for Melbourne to have a shocker. Could have really put some distance between Dragons and Manly if Melbourne and Dragons both won this round.

Better this way. Don't want to have them sneak into the top 8 on the basis of "other results going their way" and therefore Hook getting a pass mark.

Thank god for that. I thought for a moment both Melbourne and Penrith are going to lose the week Dragons fans would most like them not to.

Grubs lost but so much improved since coach changed. I wonder if the Dragons front office is getting any ideas.
