Sorry my blueS'ua? Jack was 1, Ben 2.

Just my opinion Hunt will always win us more games than JDB quite obviously. JDB is one of the best lock forwards in the competition and in reality has two jobs to do whereas Hunt has a myriad of jobs is obviously more skillful he is the cpt of the ship without him we are rudderless.I did not mean to denigrate. So explain to me why Ben Hunt is #1 in your view.
IMO you really can't say. Hunt pulls off big plays but de Belin at times carried the entire pack.Just my opinion Hunt will always win us more games than JDB quite obviously. As I said previously JDB would be the first forward I would pick but he's not a game changer or winnerIMO you really can't say. Hunt pulls off big plays but de Belin at times carried the entire pack.
It's one of my pet peeves. The match winners get all the accolades but the players doing the hard work making it possible for the match winners to do their thing get hardly any accolades. As I said previously JDB would be the first forward I would pick but he's not a game changer or winner
There's no I in team. It doesn't matter if you have a Cleary a Munster a Mitchell in your team you build your teams around them but nothing happens without player's like JDB in your team . They never get the accolades they deserve apart from being recognised at representative time. That is the nature of the beast. Everyone has a role, a job it's when everyone gels together that's when you see everyone get the allocades by wearing a premiership winning ringIt's one of my pet peeves. It is the nature of the beast but no reason we have to or should jump on the bandwagon here. There's no I in team. I have been vocal in clearly stating that Hunt is awful in defence but in saying that it's the responsibility of the coaching staff to ensure he is protected and assisted in the defensive line which didn't happen because others failed to do their jobs. I really don't understand what people are trying to achieve here, at this time, because quite simply there is no other player of his quality that can step into his place at the moment. My experience leads me to this conclusion if Hunt wins the Dally M or even halfback of the year I can put my hand on my heart and tell you all the Dragons boardroom will re sign him until 2025 and at a much higher salary that was first tabled. He will remain cpt and halfback. Time will tell if I am right. Our skipper may have more jobs but does he do them all at the proportion of his bulky pay packet. His defense is shoddy, his missed tackles are more likely to lose us games than win them. So there is one of his many jobs he under achieves in. Is his ball play clever and crisp and puts our back line on the front foot.. no, the second job he under achieves in. Is he as good a leader as you make out. Open to debate. I put it to you that Ben Hunt is unable to complete all the tasks his position warrants and his salary demands..
I mean, just because the media gives all the accolades to Hunt, no reason we have to as well. I mean, give him the accolades he deserves but it seems to me he deserves far less than he gets and de Belin deserves far more than he gets. What do you mean?
There are some even better elsewhere and probably for far less coin than we pay Hunt. What you say if likely correct. They wont want to release him even if he does not win any end of season awards.quite simply there is no other player of his quality that can step into his place at the moment.
I have been a vocal supporter of JDB and I have acknowledged that he has gone above and beyond this season. He is a definite keeper if we are to improve but he can't continue to be a yoyo for the coaching selection just because the club is incapable of recruiting the necessary props we need.I mean, just because the media gives all the accolades to Hunt, no reason we have to as well. To each their own. You have your opinion I mine. In my opinion he has done the best he can considering the team we have. His stats indicate that on the negative side he is ranked No.1 in missed tackles. On the positive side he is ranked No.1 in 40/20 and 20/40 kicks, ranked 2nd in kick metres, scored 6 tries ranked 3rd for us, made 7 line breaks , 17 line break assists ranked 6th in the comp, avg 14 runs a game ranked 21st in the comp. They are, apart from the tackling, and don't forget he misses those tackles because the opposition targets him and we don't protect him, very good stats. So the stats indicate that he is far better than you are suggesting in my humble opinionPlease tell me how is he a game changer and winner. Can you pinpoint a game that he actually won for us, other than the final one of our season. And he shared that with Jack and others. I have seen plenty that he should have won for us but fell down on the job. Seems to me you over adulate him. He is not in my top five prime play makers in the comp for overall skill. And that is being generous.
Probably the case but Penrith haven't missed him too much. He controls the game well. I'll give him that.Reckon it may be you as is an almost a laydown misere the Kangaroo selectors will pick him as our WC half.
Was thinking the same thing. Though you mean Braxton Wallace. Both he and Herring are very impressive in Jersey Flegg. Add Sam Hooper at hooker. I doubt any of them will be ready for regular NRL next year but in 2024 all three could be.Even then. The bitter truth is Hunt has never been a natural organiser. Take Flegg half Braxton Hall yesterday. He looks every bit a natural organiser. Note the way he links with his backs to produce a play.
Year of the competitive Dragons 2025 you heard it first hereI honestly doubt Hunt could get more than 750K for seasons 24 and 25. Maybe if we let him go before next season starts, he could get a little more. Whatever the case, Hunt was adamant it would get sorted out soon so if he hits the open market on November 1, that will be a pretty clear indication he is leaving.

You are too pessimistic. Look at what North QLD did this year. Or even the Shonkies.Year of the competitive Dragons 2025 you heard it first here
