Here's something to think about. My informant has told me this. Hunts issue is not with the board, not with the other players who were instrumental in the sacking of his BFF Griffin it IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE NEW COACH. According to my informant it goes back to the peptides saga where apparently quite a few players were burnt. There is absolutely no chance that Hunt will be playing under Flanagan. Time will tell if my information is correct however my informant hasn't been wrong yet.

Interesting. And the timing of this matches Flanno being appointed.

But I still think it's because someone from another club has whispered in his ear that they'll pay him $******* more than the Dragons for the next 2 years. The main reason anyway.

He's had enough.
Can't blame him really.
With the mistake ridden Board, it's a real dogs breakfast at the Dragons.
1. Gordon's are 50% owners, on a shonky backroom deal costing the Club 5.5million. Totally organised by Peter DOUST.
2. Craig Young resigns as Chairman for supporting Bret Finch convicted of Pedophilia .
3. DOUST sneaks back onto the Board.
4. Stgeorge Bank withdraws as major Sponsors. (WOW)
5. Dragons lose Jason Ryles as prospective Coach. (After Hook sacked by Board)
So in my opinion Hunt is our only SOO player. This club is being run (in particular but not entirely by this WIN Corp (Gordon's) nothing has been positive at the Dragons since their shonky backroom deal with DOUST. ( now a Board member).
It's time for a total Inquiry into the Boards behaviour.

The board is a sick joke but I think we can also blame Hunt.

And you may be right but my informant told me Flanagan and Hunt had a meeting prior to Flanagan being officially announced as the coach a week before

I don't doubt your source. I'm merely saying I think it was a combination of factors.
  • What you said.
  • The board.
  • Hook getting hooked.
  • More money elsewhere.
I think the last of those was his main concern. Just a guess.

I can't understand what all the drama is about anyway.

A clean slate from the overpaid and underperforming QLD connection and their Dodo Bird coach will be the best thing for the club. Just my views.

I am sure there are valid arguments and fault on all sides, but in my view, Ben Hunt has severely harmed his own reputation and case. If the problem was Flanagan, Hunt had the opportunity to tell him to his face that if he was appointed as head coach, he would seek a release. When he was aware that Flanagan was in the box seat, he could have fronted the CEO or Chairman and made his case against and said it's either him or me. But to head off to Origin camp and send a text knowing he'd be cocooned was gutless and weak and knowing it would run on and create maximum damage while he could hide away shows malice.

No one comes out smelling of roses here, but Hunt least of all.
