Mat Feagai has found a home at fullback for the Dragons this season but could be called into the NRL side to play in the outside backs depending on what coach Shane Flanagan does to replace Jack Bird. Feagai was impressive on the weekend with a try, an assist, a linebreak and 135 metres.

Alternatively, there’s young gun Savelio Tamale, who is yet to play NRL, but is a specialist centre. Tamale scored a try, got a linebreak, nine tackle busts and 140 metres in the Dragons’ win over the Magpies.

Or Christian Tuipulotu could slot onto the wing if Zac Lomax shifts to centre. Tuipulotu has been a powerhouse in his first season with the Red V. He finished the game with a try assist, a linebreak, a linebreak assist, six tackle busts and 192 metres.

The Couchman twins were busy once again with Toby getting 144 metres and 32 tackles — two misses — while Ryan got 162 metres and 35 tackles — no misses.

  • I hope #16 stays in the team. Why isn't he much better? Bigger, faster and more skillful than Lawrie but a similar build. Not tough enough? Have him run drills with JDB, F. Molo, Suli and he'll toughen up pretty quickly.
  • I hope #1 and #3 are going well. I still think if they could learn to tackle, they'd make good centres. Not fast enough to be good wingers.
  • #10 and #12 keep going from strength to strength but coach prefers his 30 odd year old journeymen. He might make a play to sign those 2 for first grade in 10 years from now.
  • That disgraceful second half capitulation last week has been coming for a while. Hopefully that was the wake-up call they needed to not let it happen again!
  • I thought the inclusion of #16 would make a big difference to this team. May well have been the case. Just not the difference I hoped for.
  • At least #1 just keeps on keeping on with the try scoring.

Nick T looked good on the weekend, he'll build his fitness and move into the edge spot. Would like to see Campbell back at centre and Buchanan in, Lavender and Starling out, their D not good enough. LKT to push into the 17 and then to Cup.
Benny had a shocker on the weekend.

That's alarming! Wish speedy and full recovery for all.

The last 2 of those are obviously the one's in danger of not playing again.

Good news re LKT. Do you think he'll be in the Flegg team next week? Is he the reason the club isn't looking at recruiting a decent 5/8?

What about Mr Coric? Any possibility of him becoming a decent NRL prop?
