I can't quite bring myself to believe Mulheisen is really going to start at 5/8.I'm telling you now that the St Helens 5/8 Lomax will eat Mulheisen tonight.

JDB on an edge? He's a middle forward every day of the week.Top 5, do we have such a thing? Being put on the spot here's my views,
1. Hunt - without him leading us around the paddock at his best we will lose more than we win, experienced and solid player.
2. Lomax - this guy does have ability. If during the off season he has learnt to control his temper and is more selective in his running and passing game he will be our top point scorer this season.
3. Suli - I rate him in attack he's big and strong if he can get a quality passing game going he will be a constant danger, he must improve his defence though
4. JDB - If he is able to revert to his best position at lock he will be a menace both in attack and defence I consider him our best forward.
5. Sua - I liked what I saw last season and he will only improve after 1 season trying to accustom himself with our style. If he can start getting early quality ball and run straight and hard he will be good on the opposite edge to JDB.
I would have loved to put young Sloan in my top 5 but until his on field performances prove me wrong under this coach he is damaged goods in my view.
Unless our depth signings come good Lawrie will be targeted more this season and may not make the same metres
He'll be lucky if Griffin doesn't have him playing in the centres.JDB on an edge? He's a middle forward every day of the week.
Seriously? St Helens have won 4 GF in a row. I just watched the GF from last year and the team we have thrown up tonight do not be surprised if we get flogged, I certainly won't be. Their 5/8 Lomax would make it over here he was MOM in the GF and organises the team very well.Let's see what happens. I think someone might have given the coach a good baking over the off season.
I like him on the edge because of his attacking passing skills and his defence. Traditionally my locks played on the edge in attack in defence plugged up the middleJDB on an edge? He's a middle forward every day of the week.
Passing is important for middle forwards. Speed and tackle breakIng is important for middles.I like him on the edge because of his attacking passing skills and his defence. Traditionally my locks played on the edge in attack in defence plugged up the middle

You see in my day your middles were your props, your 2nd rowers and lock could alternate on the edges depending upon their skill set, those 3 positions, the old 11, 12 and 13 would not line up in the same positions both in attack and defence . Just my viewsPassing is important for middle forwards. Speed and tackle breakIng is important for middles.

Oh so if you watch the now game tonight just watch where the engine room line up in defence and attack. Let me know what you thinkThat was then, this is now
Deal. Locks and props are considered almost interchangeable in the modern game.Oh so if you watch the now game tonight just watch where the engine room line up in defence and attack. Let me know what you think
Props, I agree with but locks should be 80 min players but it's a different game nowdaysDeal. Locks and props are considered almost interchangeable in the modern game.

Griffin playing what he thinks is "3D chess".I can't quite bring myself to believe Mulheisen is really going to start at 5/8.
I'll drink to thatI forgive you.Go forth in peace.
So in reality we are going to watch a hooker V one of if not the best 5/8 from EnglandGriffin playing what he thinks is "3D chess".
