Illusion has it right. There is no way Griffin will be around in 2025. Craig Young is very fond of free food and drinks but isn't as stupid as we think. He's not sacking Griffin now so when he pulls the trigger, it will be absolutely be a crisis and the fans will absolutely welcome Dean Young, another rookie, another old boy, in as head coach.

It makes sense. With Flanagan gone, who are the other experienced coaches available? McGuire? And we think Griffin is bad! Des Hasler on the market might hurt their plans.I think
I think Hasler would be excellent for St George as long as he was merely one voice among the group when making recruitment/retention decisions and there were no backended contracts allowed.

Not yet. When Flanno came here our suits pushed for him to be able to again coach. He subsequently was cleared, so what has happened in the meantime. He is on record as saying he wants to coach so why hasn't he been offered the position after Griffin. I say it is due to the bitter factional conflict going on within our BOD. Reason. Dean Young.
What chance of getting Hasler? Deanno will be good to go once we give him and assistant coach role with us. Meanwhile we need someone he can assist. Seems we dont want Flanno and most other candidates have been snapped up like all the good players. Has been some talk on Twitter about Brian Smith.. ex player and both Steeler and Saints coach.
Agree. The only reason I can see that he hasn't replaced Griffin yet is because one faction, perhaps the dominant faction, is worried he'll go well and therefore, block Dean Youngs path for a number of years.

In better news, Sullivan is staying and is going to be 500K a season to play in NSW Cup for the next two years. The NSW Cup team is going to be really good next year.
With Hook and Albert running the circus, these are the only kind of players the club can attract without paying massive overs.

I heard he will be on 500K for the next 2 years. Surely Hunt will play hooker for at least a significant part of the season but would that mean the club doesn't rate Sam Hooper? He played a large part of last season in reserve grade despite still eligible for Flegg.
I certainly hope so.
