Yep. Good player but a bit overrated and not what the Dragons need.750k a season. We need backs, not forwards.

was going to hit the market, got wind we were interested and re-signed with warriorsWarriors extend Metcalf until 2028
I'm not sure Hannay didn't have a quiet word to him and suggest he leave with GC talking the talk publicly about wanting him to stay. His stats last season were probably good but way below Haas or Yeo or JFH who he is on similar or a little more money than.tino
I thought he agreed to stay at the Titans.tino is definitely going to market. we are interested by reports, what would you pay for him?
Funny. But seriously, as you said, he was never on the market. It's not as if we missed out on his signature.was going to hit the market, got wind we were interested and re-signed with warriors![]()
Correct Eric, but watch the media painting us as having missed another player. Cant we just have an open trade period like the AFL do, would stop all this media BS.Funny. But seriously, as you said, he was never on the market. It's not as if we missed out on his signature.
What about him?tino
He's ok but is he any better than the centres Dragons already have? I can tell you he isn't better than Holmes. Not exactly what we need but Holmes could move to wing or if the talk is true about Gutho, move Holmes to centre.
STAR SHARK SHOPPED AROUND
Sharks centre Jesse Ramien has reportedly been given permission to chat with other clubs and has even been shopped to the Gold Coast. That’s according to Code Sports, who have also reported that up to six clubs have shown interest in signing Ramien from 2027.
The Sharks star is under contract for 2026, so is set to hit the open market in a week’s time on November 1, but Cronulla aren’t opposed to letting Ramien depart a season early. If Ramien exits the club it will clear $500,000 off the Sharks’ books.
At 28, Ramien still has plenty to offer. He averaged 135 metres and three tackle busts a game in 2025, starting in the centres in 24 appearances to help Cronulla reach a preliminary final.
No he is not and would place a roadblock in the path of some of our promising juniors. He's ok but is he any better than the centres Dragons already have? I can tell you he isn't better than Holmes.
Mate presently we lack speed and agility across the entire team, bar a few.Gutho has gone from our player of the year to falling out of favour at record speed! I'm not disagreeing. Need more speed in the backs but there is also Suli and CT. Not criticising them but they do lack speed like Gutho.
Tino will stay put is my take. Problem is this club is so on the nose that even if we offered him a cool million, another club would offer the same and he'd accept them. I am disgusted that we have fallen so low and can only blame poor management at the top. Oh for another Frank Facer type administrator to run this once great club.1 mil a season.
Flanagan is what went wrong for him. He was never gonna permit Ilias to play ahead of his son. I called it nepotism then, nothing has changed. If like when we had Hunt, Flanagan is again the play maker we can expect another structureless attack and no hope of a finals berth.Just went wrong for him from the start.
Well if Tino is on $1.2m why would he join us for a "cool million"Tino will stay put is my take. It is sadly looking that way RVH. We have no chance of getting any marquee half. Top shelf players and their agents only use us as a bargaining tool when negotiating with other clubs they prefer to be signed by. We have to create our own marquees from our nursery of kids. They will become our future and hopefully love to be a Dragon for years.Flanagan is what went wrong for him. He was never gonna permit Ilias to play ahead of his son. If we had a Frank Facer type for the past decade or so and up to including now, we would not be in this shit which is becoming very smelly to the nose to players and their agents. The real problem is that joint venture/merged clubs so far have not been successful - that is, they have not dominated the games week in and out since being combined as one and that includes the Wests Tigers and the Northern Eagles. Manly became the Sea Eagles and now the North Sydney Bears the Perth Bears. We might have to change our logo to be the South Coast Dragons or what not??Tino will stay put is my take. I was replying to Chris' post. Very pedantic, bordering on trolling..Well if Tino is on $1.2m why would he join us for a "cool million"
