That's true. If Dragons weren't usually bringing the ball out from deep in thier own end of the field, Suli might be scoring and setting up more tries.Suli is running for a lot of metres but he's not setting up or scoring lots of tries like the top centres. Running metres aren't everything.
I don't know what he would be doing, I just know what he is doing. Or what he isn't doing. That's true. If Dragons weren't usually bringing the ball out from deep in thier own end of the field, Suli might be scoring and setting up more tries.
Jodragon is always admonishing me for writing off the signing of Suli in the pre season and first few rounds. Let me say again, I was never so much anti-Suli but pro Feagai's.Suli is running for a lot of metres but he's not setting up or scoring lots of tries like the top centres. Admonished well not exactly the word I would use however everyone is entitled to their opinion that's the beauty of living in a democracy. Suli in my opinion has been our best purchase when you compare him to our other recent purchases no doubt in my mind about that. Feagai's well they are promising but yet to be proven consistently in 1sts. So let's have a look at his stats behind an again badly beaten pack. Ranked 8th/417 for most runs made, runs on average 157m a game, ranked 9th/418 for metres run, 129th in line breaks, misses 1.5 tackles a game. Not bad in my view. M Feagai is made for 1sts and given the opportunity will be a regular in the future. The combination between Suli/Feagai excites me looking forward as does Lomax/ Rav all we need are go forward props the only forwards to average the 100m for us is Molo and Sua which is our most pressing issue closely followed by our defensive line setup.Jodragon is always admonishing me for writing off the signing of Suli in the pre season and first few rounds. Running metres aren't everything but setting up and scoring tries isn't everything either. I think this season so far Suli, JDB, Su'A, Hunt and Ravalawa are the only ones whose form has been acceptable.
I'd say Suli and Su'a are the only good recruitment decisions in a long time. Both are apparently not on huge money either.Admonished well not exactly the word I would use however everyone is entitled to their opinion that's the beauty of living in a democracy. Agree I like the passion Sua brings to the teamI'd say Suli and Su'a are the only good recruitment decisions in a long time. Both are apparently not on huge money either.

God have mercy! Imagine for a moment, if you will, the baking jodragon40 would give Jack Bird if he pulled another one of those, "step out of the way of the ball runner" tricks.being admonished by jodragon40 is no fun.
Maybe that's exactly what Jack Bird and a few others need. Well, I think he already did it to a few, if the rumours are correct but Jack Bird seemingly wasn't one. I mean coach Griffin has apparently given a good baking to a few players. Not sure if jodragon40 has as well.God have mercy! I wouldn't bake him because he would be sitting on the bench in my team at the very bestGod have mercy! Imagine for a moment, if you will, the baking jodragon40 would give Jack Bird if he pulled another one of those, "step out of the way of the ball runner" tricks.
Mid season player/ coach review/ chat would have Lawrie and Bird benched and explained why. Young Muhleisen on McCullough bench Gosiewski in the starting pack. Sims on his last legs or its reserves for him until he leaves. Hunt/ Amone either side of the ruck to give us 2 points of attack. Mbye bench. Sua/JDB protecting Hunt/ Amone in the defensive line. Woods/ Mcguire starting with Molo. Lomax told to get back to basics. And maybe just maybe we can sneak into 8th if the team stops missing tackles show some pride in the jersey, show some passion and play for each other. My guess we will finish 12th this season if we do not improve.Maybe that's exactly what Jack Bird and a few others need. Ok, look. I hate to be the one to disagree with Jodragon but it must be done.Mid season player/ coach review/ chat would have Lawrie and Bird benched and explained why. Well done. Now you can look forward to a jodragon baking.Ok, look. I hate to be the one to disagree with Jodragon but it must be done.
Sims should be played in his best position, as an edge backrower. I disagree he's on his last legs. In the Origin game he was full of energy and stayed on for a long time. I'd agree he doesn't have the tackle breaking ability of a few years ago. I like Jack Gosiewski as much as everyone else, except Jodragon, but he isn't as good a backrower as Sims or Su'A who are both capable of playing 80min. I'd agree he deserves a spot on the bench. It would mean there are options. Bring him on to give JDB a rest or move Sims to lock to give JDB a rest, bring on Gosiewski for the rest of the game with JDB replacing Sims in his second stint.
If Gosiewski could play dummy half for 15min to give Muhleisen a rest, that'd be perfect.
What is it with everyone love affair with Sims? He hasn't put in for us anywhere near as he has for the blues in my view and now that he is leaving that won't change. We are better off now experimenting with our pack. His stats are ordinary this season he avg 10 runs a game ranked 169th, he avg 89m run mtrs and is ranked 171st, he avg 28 tackles a game, avg 3 missed tackles a game ranked 49th and has made 3 line breaks in 11 games seriously this is a SOO forward. In 2021 he avg 33 tackles, on avg missed 2.75 tackles a game, ave 10 runs a game avg 90m run a game and only made 5 line breaks in 21 games once again these are not the stats that I would expect from a player of his stature and reputation. He wouldn't have been in my run on team in the last 2 yrs.Ok, look. I hate to be the one to disagree with Jodragon but it must be done.

IMO, he's not going well but he and Su'a are the best we have. I just want the coach to stop f**king around and give Sims and Su'a a chance to start as the second rowers. They haven't both started in the second row all season. If Sims stinks it up like Bird has been doing, by all means, drop him. I think even though he's been playing out of position for most of the season, he's been far from the worst forward. As a matter of fact, I'd say he's third best after Su'a and de Belin. What is it with everyone love affair with Sims? As we can see by this week's selection the coach doesn't share our views and I can tell you out of experience if you select players out of their specialised positions continuously for no apparent reason it affects their performanceIMO, he's not going well but he and Su'a are the best we have. I think you're allowed to state your opinion. Can I just say I made no secret that I was a big Sims fan until jodragon40 pointed out his stats and that combined with the money he is on doesn't make for nice reading. At least not for Dragons fans. I was like Fittler. Fooled by his, by all accounts very affable personality.
Having said that, I've never seen him step out of the way rather than attempt a tackle! I'd go along with GCRV and give him the next 2 games before giving Burns or Gosiewski a chance if he doesn't improve a lot. Just as long as Bird is no longer a starting forward! I was also a fan of Bird last year but this year he's made it obvious he doesn't belong starting in the forwards. As an interchange utility he may go well again. But the coach can't see it.....
