Agree. I wonder how long will the coach insist on this 6/7 pairing if he really has the ambition to make us a competitive top 8 team? At the moment our last attacking options is the definition of insanity, " doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result ".

Forwards have to be better and so do Hunt and Kyle. Flanno has to stop picking his old favourites not even thinking about Kyle. JDB, Su'A, both Couchmans have to be the first forwards picked each week. Then fill in the rest around them.

Well on today's performance you would have to pick young Couchman in your team every week. Perhaps not yet ready for the rigours of being in the run on team but its time to start progressing towards the future

Their defence—-they looked offside most of the time ! Even a grey haired Jennings was too much for us. Sloane should have ripped that ball out when Collins scored. He let two tries from kicks. Not much attack. He caught the high ball well though. The Rorters do look a strong team but can they beat top four teams. We might get a win next against understrength Brisbane. Kyle has to go. Nepotism gone mad ! We need an intervention so Pa drops junior and puts Jesse in….

So any coach worth his salt targets the opposition play makers in attack. So this season, Hunt played 15 games missed 50 tackles, Flanagan 16 games missed 43 tackles. So 2 players between them have missed 93 tackles. So how do you negate the obvious? Bennett knew he had to do something with Soward he put an enforcer next to him in the defensive line we win our only joint venture premiership. We really lack a defensive enforcer and we don't have the luxury of having a Ben Hornby at 6 who could more than hold his own in defence.

Yes watched the game today injury aside both Couchmans should be in our 17 next season.

  2. Zac Lomax 4/10 no chances.
  3. Moses Suli 5/ 10 A few good runs and strong defence
  4. Max Feagai 5/10 As above

  6. Kyle Flanagan 1/10 Can't run, can't tackle, can't kick, can't set up others with his passing. When asked what he does, he says, "I'm the coaches son".
  7. Ben Hunt 2/10 One if his worse games. He's had a few this season.
  8. Francis Molo 5/10 Went ok. Ran and tackled hard.
  9. Jacob Liddle 5/10 Tackled a lot and service from dummy half was ok.
  10. Jack de Belin 4/10 Tackled everything that moved and did it effectively but needed to run more.
  11. Luciano Leilua 5/10 A few good things
  12. Jaydn Su’A 5/10 as above
  13. Tom Eisenhuth 2/10 legs tackler. It's not effective anymore.
  14. Blake Lawrie 4/10 His usual game.
  15. Ben Murdoch-Masila 3/10 What is he in the team for?
  16. Toby Couchman 6/10 Our best today. Looked the most likely to break the line.
  17. Fainu Brown 3/10 got a bit of time at the end and didn't so anything wrong.

Seemed almost every time they ran the ball, lots of metres were on offer. Every time Dragons ran, their defence was right just behind the advantage line.

If Ryan is as good as Toby, and their stats when both were playing NSW Cup were very even, and Marschke or Bird or Brown comes in for Flanagan, I think this is 18 point better team.

More go forward and better defence with Ryan and Toby in the 17 and surely Flanno can't keep picking Kyle after that. The nepotism is too flagrant. Bird can also catch and pass. But Bird also break tackles here and there and defending in the halves probably suits him. Not fast enough for the backs and not big enough for the forwards. I think his kicking is not any worse than Kyle's.

Flanno still won't drop Kyle because he knows that will be his last NRL game. He will have to have someone from above make the call and tell Flanno if he doesn't like it, the door is over there.
