I fear that is correct, given he has barely run in the past few games. Instead is getting bogged down in the line. But am torn a bit with this bloke.. as we all saw he does show some play making promise .. given his exceptional cut out for that vital try in last match. That showed vision. You dont teach that.

I think the article said something like "reported to be around 1mil". Very vague. It could be the 800k I've been talking about for a while. I think he'll sign for that much because it's more than he'll be able to get elsewhere but he won't rush to sign it.

You sure about that. There were reportedly three Qld clubs chasing him. As we all know one of them with 'an audacious bid'. Hunt's contract salary is common knowledge.. isn't it. Then if a club is making an audacious bid, doesn't that equate to one over his current salary.

I'm sure every club is chasing him for the right money. I very much doubt any are chasing him for 1mil a season.

Our dreams of the sacking of our coach are in tatters going on media wordage I read in a Tele piece about the Hunt extension. Certainly not the talk by the Front Office of their intention to turf out Griffin at season end.

The word 'audacious' may well have been referring to a planned poaching by the Titans and not the money being offered? In any case I can not see Ben knocking back the offer as he will see the extension as completing unfinished business.

Maybe. Let's wait 2 weeks for confirmation. As various people are saying, Hunt wasted no time signing the deal as reported.

I bet he did. He is sitting on a gold mine. The fact is our club is left with a dud premium play maker for the next three years and the suits dont see it. How tempted was Hunt to accepting one of the Qld offers and moving back home?

It was just a rumour. NRL rules state they may not talk to him until November this year.

Brisbane Times newspaper reporting an unamed senior Dragons official made enquiries in an effort to lure Cameron Ciraldo to replace Griffin but he declined and has now signed with the Dogs. Also reporting that Hunt is baulking at re signing until the club ensures that he will be playing under Griffin until the end of his extended contract, wants his future tied to that of Griffin. Reporting Griffin has failed to meet the 3 critical criteria he was hired under and his credibility was badly damaged by the BBQ saga. His win ratio is below that of McGregor. Also reporting that Sullivan is awaiting the outcome of Hunts contract negotiations and will seek a release . New offer of 700k per season for 2 seasons has been tabled last night.Time will tell

Some revelations. Who was the 'un named official'. I expect Gould had something to do with Ciraldo declining our offer.

So Hunt will stay only if Griffin is the coach. That is rather bizarre.

What are the three criteria. win/loss ratio is one I expect. That has been pointed our already as an F for failure.

"Credibility damaged" Meaning what exactly? Paul Vaughan should never have been sacked.

A new offer of 700K, what then was the original one? Seems it was no where near what we all speculated.
