He hasn't been as his season stats clearly show . I posted them yesterday in another thread. Anyone with a 170m running average needs to be in Firsts.
And it's not as if the first grade forwards are demanding selection due to strong performances. Even Su'a and Lawrie. Only JDB playing well.

Flegg continued their ordinary season going down by 22 points.

Our Ressies put 44 points on the Chooks with seven tries.. on a bit of a roll.

Mid-season recruit Alec Tuitavake had his best game since joining the club from Manly, setting up a try and running for 135 metres, while Ryan Couchman put in an enormous 80-minute effort a lock. He finished with 226 metres — 101 post-contact — and 34 tackles with one miss.

New coach should build a forward pack around the Couchman brothers.

Been so much going on, I forgot about the lower grades for a few weeks. They aren't doing well anyway. Griffin ran the whole place into the ground. Not a big deal. We only 2, max 3 juniors to make the step up every year. Next year hopefully we'll have 4. Ryan Counchman, Coric, Sione Finau (the winger or centre) and the winger or centre from Rugby Yawnion RedVHeartbeat RedVHeartbeat often talks about. Is it Savelio Tamale?

Anyway, teams for this week:
NSW Cup
Jersey Flegg
  1. Treigh Stewart
  2. Alexander Lobb
  3. Tautau Moga
  4. Max Feagai
  5. Sione Finau
  6. Paul Turner
  7. Zach Herring
  8. Zane Musgrove
  9. Connor Muhleisen
  10. Viliami Fifita
  11. Dylan Egan
  12. Daniel Russell
  13. Ryan Couchman

  14. Haele Finau
  15. Alec Tuitavake
  16. Nick Lui-Toso
  17. Jackson Shereb
  1. Wesley Pring
  2. Benjamin Rumble
  3. Savelio Tamale
  4. Campbell Watchirs
  5. Te Umuariki Heremia-Tukere
  6. Lyhkan King-Togia
  7. Ashton Ward
  8. Bryce Magnone
  9. Declan Purcell
  10. Jacob Webster
  11. Phoenix Vetenibua-Finnerty
  12. Nicholas Tsougranis
  13. Hamish Stewart

  14. Kyan Hjaltason
  15. Jett Liu
  16. Thomas Phillips
  17. Callum Leikvoll
  18. Travis Barrett-Hancock
  • #17 will almost drop back to Flegg or Group 6 when the extended reserves for the NRL team come back to NSW Cup even though he's eligible for NRL now. He's almost certainly not going to make it. What a shame.
  • #7 is also in a development contract, isn't he?
  • Dylan Egan is still only 17 or just turned 18, isn't he? Looks like he's cemented his spot in the NSW Cup. Very promising.
  • To be honest, I don't know much about this team. Almost certainly a very young team. Been a big turnover from last year.
  • Purcell back at #9.
  • #1 is a new name. Hope he's good but will weigh at least 90kg by the time he is 19. I'm rapidly losing faith in Sloan and any other "small" fullback. Sick of our fullbacks being such lightweights.

Shereb is shaping up as the biggest disappointment is a while. There have been a few.

Dragons Flegg run out comfortable winners 34-24. They led by 20 with 20 to go but allowed the Tigers to score the last two tries. Coach will not be pleased that they did not keep the foot on the throat.

Commanding win by the Ressies considering they came from behind. Musgrove must be promoted. Good metres with every carry and looked to offload at every chance while Tuitavake and teen back rower Egan both look Firsts material. Herring directed play well. No real stand out in the backs tho Sione Finau did some good things.

Thanks for the update. Could it be some green shoots are starting to appear?

Had a close look at Mulheisen and I think we have over estimated him. He does not look first grade standard, half the pace of Liddle out of dummy half, average distribution with little ball skills. In short does not inspire. I'd have Haeme Finau ahead of him as our next hooker to crack Firsts.

Sadly have to agree.

Dragons talent Treigh Stewart bagged a double and set up another while also getting a linebreak, a linebreak assist, four tackle busts and 188 running metres.

Zane Musgrove and Ryan Couchman got through a mountain of work for the Dragons with the pair both topping the metre count for forwards (171) and making 23 and 24 tackles respectively.
