  1. Dearden
  2. AFB

Not that I rate Manu less but just thinking about what the club needs.
Flanno's order:
  1. AFB: Because he can get lots of go forward for Flanno's useless son to try and do something with.
  2. Manu: Because he obviously doesn't rate Sloan.
  3. Dearden: Because he will compete and win the competition with Kyle for a spot in the halves.

I doubt Dearden is even on the radar after reading that Flanno interview on another thread. He made it clear the most important thing for him is securing a spot in the 17 for Kyle.

Agree. Manu is a bonus, at the correct price. I like the kid Tamale, big, fast and some skills. Will he make our Top 30 come season start..

He does as he'd have sent him on his way. Flanagan says players such as Lomax will compete for the f/b spot with Sloan. A complex role f/b, perhaps he thinks other players are better cut out to handle all facets better than Sloan at this stage of his development. Personally I think Zac would make a terrific custodian now he has matured.

No one. Flanno said it himself. Flanno jnr is under no pressure. Lomax won't be in the halves because he's needed to put pressure on Sloan at fullback and a few juniors aren't ready for first grade. So Flanno has got his wish.

My two cents worth is that the club is going to sign Luai for 1 mil a year. And it's going to be Gareth and Benji all over again. Two running halves screwing up each others games.

Though if the club has a good, young playmaker ready for first grade from 2025, signing Luai could be a masterstroke. Guess it's just wait and see. As along as Flanno is blocked from offering Flanno jnr 1mil a year for 8 years.

Flanagan is targeting Tom Dearden so Flanagan Jr does have some opposition. And if Junior evades the judges ire, he too may come back into contention. I think FO is waiting for the sentencing before it moves as to this stage he has only been stood down not sacked.

His own team mate, skipper and probably best mate, Nathan Cleary has said he aint worth $1m. Flanno is no fool otherwise he'd be chasing him.

What a pity those same words were not muttered when bringing Hunt here was proposed. The nitemare would have happened to some other club.

I wouldn't trust Cleary's 'advice' but I tend to think without an excellent, game managing halfback, Luai is a 650k 5/8.

He 'might' have competition from 2025 but according to Flanno, doesn't have for 2024. Without a big improvement, I can't see even Flanno snr saving Flanno jnrs RL career beyond next year.
