I just spoke to my mate the official title that Millward holds is Recruitment AND Pathways Manager. To me that indicates all recruitment , am I incorrect?

St George Illawarra has started negotiations to lure St Helens superstar Jack Welsby to the NRL.

And Welsby - rated the best player in Super League - was issued a glowing recommendation from Dragons and Kangaroos champion, Ben Hunt.

St George Illawarra coach Shane Flanagan says Welsby could play five-eighth or fullback for the Dragons.

The Dragons will wait for the NRL’s expected punishment for five-eighth Junior Amone before taking Welsby discussions to another level.

He is only young so could come over here and have a long career.

“We are definitely looking outside the square and have gone as far as going to the UK with Jack Welsby. We’ve expressed some interest there and made contact with his manager.

“He is a super talent with attacking brilliance. We know there will be a lot of interest when he comes off contract but we might have to push now to see if we can get him.

Oops never saw that I mentioned that in another post didn't know the kids name at the time only he was a youngster

Gun fullback for sure. What is he like as a 5/8? Flanno is talking the talk about Sloan coming good. Talking the talk about Lomax being very suitable cover. Rejecting the idea of Lomax playing 5/8. Recruiting a gun fullback who may or may not be a good 5/8. Re-signing Suli. Didn't look to sign Drew Hutchinson even after it became very likely Junior was going to be missing a lot of football next season if not the entire season. Let Sullivan go.

It really looks like the whole recruitment and retention strategy doesn't revolve around what's the team needs but to protect Kyle.

Whilst they may be in the hunt for Addin Fonua-Blake and Jarome Luai, that hasn't stopped the Dragons from reportedly beginning talks with the Super League's best young player.

So he has played for St Helens since 2018. Predominantly he has played fullback, has played in other positions mostly centre and 5/8. International played fullback and 5/8 so fullback 1st 5/8 is an option

I know he's a gun fullback but do you know how he goes at 5/8?
