No way on this earth is he better than his brother. No way is he better than most wingers in the comp. With respect, you obviously dont concentrate when watching us play. The guy is a massive liability and how our selectors dont see that is beyond me and most of my fellow posters.

That is a small bench. One negative, plus if our new halves combo fail to add some much needed structure to our offense and without the attacking brilliance of Sloan, I can see us on the end of another hammering.

Lawrie is a fan favourite but...... I'm not sold on him. He reminds me of Jackson Ford. All effort and determination but only talented enough to be a first grader at best. Will never come into calculation for rep teams and NRL career will end early.
Just my views and I hope I'm wrong.

The kid needs five kilos to be more confident going into tackle a hulking outside back coming at him at a rate of knots. Having said that, he also needs blokes like Feagai and Rava to stay on their wings and not to make his job as the last line of defense akin to a mouse taking on a cat. At the moment it is such a thankless task for him and the reason he cops so much flack.

About half the junior kangaroos never make it in first grade.
I think he's a good, solid, tough prop who occasionally pumps out 150m + games but he doesn't have a lot of upside. When one has to rely so much on effort and dedication, one's career rarely goes into the 30s in the NRL.

Lawrie and JDB are being carrying the middle forwards. Lawrie would be better with less responsibility, not more. Every team need a no-frills prop who runs hard, makes metres, won't be selected in rep teams, won't be a big money.

True but I'm hopeful things will turn around starting next year.
If Flanno is really trying to convince Hunt to hang around rather than trying to organise a player trade....... I just don't understand it. Even if he was an all-time great, when the team is such a failure with him in it, surely it's time to go in another direction.

No good having him stay and he sooks non stop and doesn't perform ....... And also we miss signing other players ...... I still don't know how this bloke is still captain of the team ...... There is no way I'd be following him on the field or off it ....... Said before the guy and the whole situation is TOXIC .......
