It's not a bad philosophy to have right now.I suggest not taking the club too seriously at this point. Shake your head, laugh at the incompetence or corruption and hope for better days ahead.

Not going to watch them live this season. Don't know if we can scratch together a team,I suggest not taking the club too seriously at this point. Shake your head, laugh at the incompetence or corruption and hope for better days ahead.
Corruption now that's a big call. IncompetenceIt's not a bad philosophy to have right now.
Agree there is nothing spectacular about them. You wouldn't be paying good money to watch them. Perhaps to entice some of us back would as part of the entry fee at half time we can get a free big Ben pie and a beer. I'd go again then.I think they give this team too much credit. For the entire time Hook has been head coach, he's tried to win games by playing a very negative brand of football. Sometimes the games, even when the Dragons are winning, are hard to watch.

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS
VERDICT:
Anthony Griffin should petition the NRL to give the Dragons’ 6am kick-offs in the motel carpark this season, at least that way you know they’re going to come fired up and ready for a stink.
The Charity Shield was another typical Dragons train crash, during and after the match. First up they get belted by the Bunnies, then young Tyrell Sloan has a post-match meltdown. The poor kid looks totally overwhelmed and you find yourself feeling sorry for him and his team. That’s until you later learn two knuckleheads in Ravalawa and Musgrove have gone out and got sloshed, ending up in a stink outside the team hotel as the sun was coming up. Seriously, when will these boofheads wake up and realise their fans have had a gutful?
If they’d won in Mudgee it might have been a different story. But what did they have to celebrate? At least with such a vocal supporter base it always ensures any dramas are magnified. Which makes them must watch viewing, but most of the time for the wrong reasons.

Hmmm you know me too wellYou would keep cutting in line for the free beer.
Told you, for some unknown reasons JDB is at prop the poor bugger will put in but he's no prop, the big guys must be giggling as the take out their pay from the ATM. Sullivan off the bench, to do what? spark the attack after we are 12 points down? Murdoch - Masila 2nd row, should be partnering Lawrie and being replaced by Musgrave or even Musgrave starting. Liddle as hooker very predictable, Mulheisen won't get a go until the coach goes. Don't be surprised if we get a touch up by the Titans, especially if they beat the Tigers first up. Analysis: The Dragons have been handed the bye and an extra week of pre-season to start the year, giving Anthony Griffin more time to decide the final make-up of his starting 17. Tyrell Sloan had an indifferent game against the Rabbitohs in the Charity Shield, but still remains the club’s best option at fullback and needs to spend time on the field to develop. The back four of Zac Lomax, Mat Feagai, Moses Suli and Mikaele Ravalawa will remain, while Ben Hunt’s halves partner is still up in the air. Griffin played young gun Jayden Sullivan off the bench in pre-season, with Moses Mbye winning the five eighth spot – and that’s how the Red V could line up with Jacob Liddle at hooker. Jack Bird is set to be fit after undergoing a minor knee surgery and will likely play at lock, with Blake Lawrie and Jack de Belin at prop. New recruit Ben Murdoch-Masila is set to take up an unfamiliar position in the backrow alongside Jaydn Su’A, while Zane Musgrove, Francis Molo and Josh Kerr fill out the bench.
FFS, this is not funny anymore! Stop playing jokes on Dragons fans!Another master signing a bloke by the name of Paul Taylor 3rd string 5/8 from the Titans has been signed by Griffin effective immediately to bolster our stocks. I'm speechless
So my 12th isn't too far off the mark then. Personally I think the experts are being generous time will tell. At least no wooden spoonDRAGONS
ENNIS: In a funny way, after the Charity Shield they needed the bye up first, just to give themselves a chance to have a look at the intensity in which the competition is playing at, because clearly they were caught off guard up there.Listening to Anthony Griffin saying that he was a little underwhelmed. He felt like they’d done a lot of good things throughout their preseason and they were caught unaware by South Sydney, who exposed them defensively. Really exposed them defensively and quite comfortably to be honest.
I’ve got grave fears for the Dragons, to be honest. On trial form and what we saw last year, it’s hard to think that they’ll make any impact in the competition, in terms of challenging those top sides. I can’t see it happening.
CRONK: The one area they need to they need to improve desperately - I know they miss Round 1, they play their first game in Round 2, so they’ve got an extended period to work on it - is their middle defence. There was no aggression, there was no movement for one another. South Sydney scored four tries right through the teeth, the heart of their middle defence.
They can be physical with you, if you go one-on-one contact with the Dragons, they’ll meet you, but if you have any movement or decision-making around that middle third, they just lack the awareness of making tough decisions under fatigue. And that’s their key. If they can’t get that right, wow, it might be a long year.
Fox Lab predicted finish: 10th
A lot is going to have to go right for this team to finish 10th. Ennis and Cronk are the two most annoying commentators by far but in this case, Cronk is just saying what we have been warning about the entire off season; The Dragons forwards aren't up to scratch. Far from it. And the rejects from the last and second last places teams from last year have done absolutely nothing to bolster the forward pack. Keeping Tariq Sims for another year would have been a far better option than signing any of them.
I think your prediction is better than theirs but still a way off. I'm tipping 16th.So my 12th isn't too far off the mark then. Personally I think the experts are being generous time will tell. At least no wooden spoon
Another good, young prop the Dragons really needed.....Well another player that I thought could have been an asset has signed elsewhere for next season Spencer Lenai from the Panthers to the Dolphins. Oh well the Panthers may have a 3rd string prop who we can go after instead.
Agree once again indicating to me that my information in regards to nobody wanting to deal with us or come to play for usAnother good, young prop the Dragons really needed.....

Cheer up. The night is darkest just before the dawn. And it can't get much darker than it is now.FFS, this is not funny anymore! Stop playing jokes on Dragons fans!
Where did you hear that? On Zero tackle it's only been conformed he's leaving Penrith but no word on where he's going.Well another player that I thought could have been an asset has signed elsewhere for next season Spencer Lenai from the Panthers to the Dolphins.
