Recruitment and Retention for 2024

The spot isn't as important as the cap space the club is looking at paying his contract over 2 years that will free up around 400k cap space for 24.

Side note, it was good to see Cody running light ball drills with the team last week.
Do you know if he's officially on the mend or too early to say?

Stephen Crichton (Penrith Panthers, 2027), Josh Curran (New Zealand Warriors, 2025), Poasa Faamausili (The Dolphins, 2025), Michael Gabrael (2025), Bailey Hayward (2025), Drew Hutchison (Sydney Roosters, 2025), Kurt Mann (Newcastle Knights, 2025), Zac Montgomery (2024), Jaeman Salmon (Penrith Panthers, 2025), Logan Spinks (2026), Blake Taaffe (South Sydney Rabbitohs, 2025), Jake Turpin (Sydney Roosters, 2025), Bronson Xerri (2025)

Compare the Bullgrubs '24 signings to our piss weak two. Difference between our two clubs is Gus Gould manages to land not only rejects (like us) but also respected players.

Looking at our probable Top 30 for '24, I dont see us being much different to last season. So folks expect another miserable, missing the finals season.
Seems every season one team surprises everyone. In a good way. Maybe that will be us. Maybe Fifita is going to be that big, metre making prop we really need. And someone is going to step up at 5/8. Sloan is going to be much better consistently.

Last season he was improving but had a set back so hard to say.

He has had his colon and intestine replaced and was eating ok gaining weight and doing gym work.

He has been unable to run, the biggest hurdle for his recover, that why it's good to see him running some plays.

Gotta love the crap that comes out of the mouths of footy scribes.

Partnering him is one of the NRL’s best halfbacks in Ben Hunt, who gives this spine a major boost even thought he is wanting an exit from the Red V club.

Jack Bird, meanwhile, has the potential to be an incredible lock under incoming coach Shane Flanagan.

Surely Flanagan is not planning on putting this bloke in JDBs spot.. or 5/8. Off the bench or in Ressies.

Jack Bird is in the crosshairs of Roosters supremo Nick Politis after Bird mimed in a charades game that the Roosters cheat on their salary cap.

Bird auta talk, at $600K he cheats on his salary. This bloke is a disappointment on and off the field.

I like that he did that but you are right about his form. Needs to become a full-time interchange utility. That means training to play 15~20min at hooker per-game.

Anyone follow Rugby Yawnion? Do the Wallabies have any halves or props the Dragons can poach?
Haven't watched a game in years.
Obviously the 14 day cooling off periods is over. So if we don't get news of any big signing anyday now, I guess we got no one.
But Dearen, Luai, Manu haven't been announced as re-signed either so there's that.
