Now the dust has settled on yesterday's triple whammy, I wonder when Flanno is going to let us in on his new plan.

Missed recruiting a half and lost a half on the same day. And the halfback wants out.

No one listens to me. Adam Douhi is the answer at 5/8. And then maybe Flanno at half. Just don't tell him he has to run. At least not much. It's not his game. He has to organise, kick and take the ball deep into the line before passing. Only run when it opens up for him to do that.

If missing out on AFB allows us to sign those 2 young Cowboys forwards, I'll consider it a huge win for the Dragons. Dearden is another story. Apples and Oranges.

According to media we are now looking at these guys.
Cowboys pair Heilum Luki/ Kulikefu Finefeuiaki (edge)
Terrell May Roosters (prop)
Hamlin Uele Sharks. (prop)
Luke Metcalfe Warriors.(5/8).

Already knew about Luki. No specialist half and all are hardly marquees. May stats show he is better than Uele in almost all assets.

I'm all for optimism. Make up for my pessimism. But I don't think Flanangan is ever going to close to as good in the halves as Liddle is at hooker.

Tigers spent big money on Korasau. So Liddle was no longer needed. Bulldogs are still in a hole regarding their halves but Flanagan was still dropped and then used as a backup hooker in the NSW Cup.

Just my opinion, I would have been in favour of keeping Sullivan and getting rid of Hunt but not now. I know we won't be winning the premiership but I hope don't "win" the spoon either.

My view both Hunt and Flanagan will put in this season, I don't doubt that. They are professionals and have achieved what 99% of kids that play the game will never achieve playing 1st grade. In saying that they can only perform to the best of their ability if our engine room is running on 6 cylinders not 3, unfortunately we just don't have the engine room to make us a competitive top 8 team.
