Hame Sele signed for next 3 yrs
Mixed feelings.Hame Sele signed for next 3 yrs
It sure is. Seem tho any talk of bringing Tino here has gone cold. Flanno needed to do as big a sell on him as he did on Hunt. He is now looking at a couple of Pommies Luke Thompson and Ryan Sutton to boost our pack.Bring it on , this is needed .....
He's not the big bodied player I was looking for as a prop about 6 foot 105kg avg 11 runs a game for 113m . The only plus I can see is he has played elsewhere in the pack so perhaps not being picked as a prop. Time will tellMixed feelings.
Looks like another depth signing. At least better than Griffin's depth signings. He's not the big bodied player I was looking for as a prop about 6 foot 105kg avg 11 runs a game for 113m . He's 31. After the Burgess, McGuire, Woods debacles, I hope he isn't being considered.I'll tell you who would fit the bill, the ex Roosters prop Taukeihao, he's homesick presently playing in England. He's got 2 or 3 more good years in him
I know its only Super League but I've watched a couple of games he has played in and he's still got it. This would have to be his last contract and I would say you could sign him at a basement price . I'd be happy to pay him $1.1m over the next 3 yrs , he'd also be a good teacher and pass on his knowledge and experience to our rising young forwards. I believe that the Dogs want him though. Just my thoughtsHe's 31. After the Burgess, McGuire, Woods debacles, I hope he isn't being considered.
I have to disagree as well. We already don't have a young pack.I know its only Super League but I've watched a couple of games he has played in and he's still got it. Sele is a middle forward. It seems Luke Thompson is probably on the way. We have JDB and Lawrie. Those two young props from Manly who came over mid-season. I think you'll find that by round 1 next year both Couchmans are going to be around 110kg middle forwards. Then there is Coric who there has been big wraps on for a long time but did his ACL in the pre-season.Dragons interested in bidding for Payne Haas. I guess along with every other club.
I'd pay overs for him. He is just going to get better and he soon will be working more on his offload talent. Can you imagine that 3 players struggling to get him to ground in the middle of the park and he offloads to a trailing speed player. You can build a premiership winning team around players like himDragons interested in bidding for Payne Haas. I guess along with every other club.
It's just a question of how much overs. I'm leaning toward he's not worth over 900k. Not because he isn't a very good player but I think no one outside of the spine should be on more than that t present.I'd pay overs for him. Yeh lets go for broke with him, coming home too as Blues bornI'd pay overs for him.
I'd rather Tino .....It's just a question of how much overs. I'm leaning toward he's not worth over 900k. Not because he isn't a very good player but I think no one outside of the spine should be on more than that t present.
They are both outstanding props but it comes down to how much they want.I'd rather Tino .....
Sio Siua Taukeiaho back to the NRL.I have to disagree as well. We already don't have a young pack.
He'll be 32 before a ball is kicked. The ESL team didn't mind him leaving at all. Only managed 9 games for them. I can't believe how the Dragons were even interested! Time to invest in youth!Sio Siua Taukeiaho back to the NRL.
This masthead can reveal Taukeiaho is heading to Belmore on a two-year deal, with Canterbury prevailing in a three-way battle with Wests Tigers and the Dragons to secure the services of the Tongan torpedo. $500k a year for 2 yrs
Wont be for '24 tho as our war chest is only $1m, so who are we able to get for that when Flanno says he wants forwards and backs. The big fish we wants for our engine room will have to wait till '25. Just who do you think will remain available then.Dragons interested in bidding for Payne Haas. Bloody Gould seems to get whoever he is after, while we can not get anyone other than rejects. WHY IS THAT?????is heading to Belmore
